Getting started is hard. Finally starting Rose on Fire back at its old home on blogspot took me a year, a break-up, and a breakdown to get started on.
Sometimes the universe feels the need to shake you into action about finding out what you really want.
But after about 9 months of posts and finally feeling in the groove, life got a little too shaken up, and a prolonged period of overworking two jobs to make ends meet gave me an excuse to take a break that I never came back from.
Until now.
I love to cook and I love to eat. I love to make things and I love to find awesome things that other people made. I love to go out into the world to explore, appreciating all the beautiful and interesting things that are out there to be enjoyed, and I love to be at home, alone or with friends and family, and be surrounded by comfort, familiarity, and happiness, too. And I know that what I really want is to share some of that love with the rest of the world.
The start of the year is as good a time as any to get back in the saddle. Let’s say that I took an extended vacation to let the mental fields lay fallow. Now my creativity has been restored and I feel like I’m in a better position to open up and let the outside in and the inside out.
Welcome back to Rose on Fire.

BAM, and the universe was born.
